goodbye america

I said goodbye to america appropriately in that I ran around town running errands in sweatpants and no make-up, listening to sexyback, making hasty purchases that were inordinately over-priced due mostly to my hastiness, and getting epically lost at Smith's SUPERSTORE Marketplace. Good times.

Last-Minute Purchases:

1. Spanish Scriptures. Deseret Book really has quite the racket going on. Who knew getting some religion was so expensive??
2. Watercolor Paper. Duh.
3. Floss. I need to start someday.
4. The Princeton Review GRE Prep Book. It's best to learn complicated English words when in Honduras.
5. Laxatives and Anti-Diarrheal Medicine. I'd like to think that this purchase shows how on-top of things I am by anticipating all forms of impending gastronomic distress.
6. Cover-up. No explanation necessary.
7. A digital camera. It runs on AA batteries.
8. A&W Cream Soda. Soon I'll be drinking soda with real sugar.

In other news, the saddest last-minute plan failure is that the DMV is closed today so I won't be a renewing my license. Which is sad because it expires this summer and the only thing I remember from my Driving Prep course (aside from the Red Asphalt Video--so gross and terrifying) is how we were never, ever, ever, to let our license expire. Ah, such is life.
